Dough Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 egg
Mix the warm milk, yeast, and sugar together. Let this mixture sit for 5 minutes until it becomes slightly foamy.
Add the egg and melted butter to the milk mixture and stir to combine.
Gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough forms. You may need to use your hands toward the end.
Knead the dough lightly on a floured surface. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Shape the dough as desired. Bake on a prepared baking sheet at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
This dough is versatile. You can shape it into rolls, a simple loaf, or small pastries for your breakfast buffet.
