Spicy Bruschetta Dip with Chili Flakes

This recipe makes a quick, spicy dip inspired by bruschetta. A sprinkle of chili flakes adds visual contrast and signals the heat before the first bite.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes adjust to taste
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or basil

For Serving

  • As needed Toasted bread or crackers

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir well and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Taste the dip and adjust the spice level if you need more heat.
  • Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs.
  • Serve the dip with toasted bread or crackers.

Notes

This dip is best served after resting so the flavors combine. You can use canned tomatoes if fresh ones are not available, just make sure to drain them well.
