Slow Cooker Sausage Potato Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 400 g Turkey sausage (no pork)
  • Potatoes cubed
  • Carrots chopped
  • Onion chopped
  • 1 container Chicken broth or enough to cover ingredients
  • 1 cup Cream heavy or half-and-half

Instructions
 

  • Brown the turkey sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  • Place the browned sausage, potatoes, carrots, onion, and chicken broth into the slow cooker.
  • Cook on LOW setting for 6 hours, or until vegetables are tender.
  • Stir in the cream just before serving.

Notes

This soup tastes best when the vegetables are soft and the sausage flavor has infused the broth. You can adjust the amount of cream for your preferred level of richness.
