Party Strawberry Banana Dessert

This is one of those desserts I adapt often because it travels well and always disappears fast—proof that crowd-friendly recipes really matter.

Equipment

  • Large serving dish

Ingredients

For Assembly

  • 1 package Vanilla cake cubes Store-bought or homemade
  • 3 cups Banana slices
  • 2 cups Strawberry slices
  • 1 box (about 5.1 oz) Vanilla pudding mix Prepared according to package directions
  • 1 container (8 oz) Whipped cream For topping

Instructions

  • Prepare the vanilla pudding according to the package directions and set it aside to cool slightly.
  • In your large serving dish, create the first layer by spreading half of the vanilla cake cubes across the bottom.
  • Top the cake layer with half of the banana slices, half of the strawberry slices, and half of the prepared vanilla pudding.
  • Repeat the layering process: remaining cake cubes, remaining bananas, remaining strawberries, and remaining pudding.
  • Spread the whipped cream evenly over the top layer to finish the dessert.
  • Cover the dish and chill the dessert for at least 2 hours before serving. This allows the cake to absorb moisture from the pudding.

Notes

This dessert travels well, making it a good choice for potlucks or gatherings. Assemble it the day before for the best texture.
