Onion Boil with Chicken Broth

- 4 large onions peeled
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- To taste Salt & black pepper
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place each onion on a sheet of aluminum foil.
Add butter, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper to each onion.
Pour 2 tablespoons of chicken broth over each onion.
Seal the foil tightly around the onions.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes until the onions are soft and juicy.
Serve the onions hot with the flavorful broth spooned on top.
Using chicken broth instead of water gave this dish a richer flavor during repeat testing.
