Ingredients
  

For the Cupcakes

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 0.75 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Frosting

  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • As needed Food coloring For decoration

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a mini cupcake pan with liners.
  • Make the vanilla batter. Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract and milk. Gradually add the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and salt) to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Fill the mini cupcake liners about halfway with the batter.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
  • Prepare the frosting by beating the butter and powdered sugar together until the mixture is fluffy. Add food coloring as desired.
  • Decorate the cooled cupcakes and package them for gifting.
