Lucky Charms Lemon Macarons

This recipe makes bright, citrus-forward desserts with a whimsical twist. Adding lemon lifted the entire dessert and kept the sweetness from feeling too heavy.

Ingredients
  

Lemon Filling

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 serving Lucky Charms marshmallows Chopped

Instructions
 

  • Prepare macaron shells as above.
  • Beat butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
  • Add lemon juice and zest.
  • Fold in chopped marshmallows.
  • Fill and sandwich macaron shells.
  • Chill 24 hours before serving for best texture.
