Fun Weekend Breakfast Idea

Weekend breakfasts were always when we lingered the longest in the kitchen, turning simple meals into shared moments.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowls
  • Frying pan or deep fryer

Ingredients
  

  • 2.5 cups flour
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

For Decoration

  • As needed Icing
  • As needed sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Mix the flour, sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl.
  • Add the milk, egg, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined to form a dough.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pan to 350°F (175°C).
  • Shape the dough into small rings.
  • Carefully place the dough rings into the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown on both sides.
  • Remove the fried dough from the oil, drain excess oil, and let them cool slightly. Glaze with icing and decorate with sprinkles.
