Fresh Strawberry Danish

Fresh strawberries give this danish a lighter feel that works well.

Ingredients
  

Danish

  • 1 sheet Puff pastry

Filling

  • 1/2 cup Cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp Honey or sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries chopped
  • Powdered sugar optional, for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Mix the cream cheese, honey, and vanilla until the mixture is smooth.
  • Cut the puff pastry into rectangles and score a border around the edge of each piece.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture inside the scored border on each pastry piece.
  • Place the chopped strawberries on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  • Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
  • Dust the danishes with powdered sugar before serving, if you choose.
