Creamy Chicken Skillet Dinner

Ingredients
  

  • 2 chicken breasts cubed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/3 cup parmesan
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions
 

  • Sear the cubed chicken until golden edges form. Remove the chicken from the skillet.
  • Cook the sliced mushrooms until they brown. This step adds depth to the flavor.
  • Add the garlic to the skillet and cook briefly. Pour in the chicken broth and reduce the liquid by half.
  • Add the cream and parmesan cheese. Stir the mixture until it becomes creamy.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the meat.
  • Serve the dish directly in the skillet. Sprinkle with the remaining thyme and parmesan cheese before serving.
