Cocoa Powder Cookies

These Cocoa Powder Cookies deliver deep chocolate flavor using only cocoa powder, making them perfect when you are out of chocolate chips. The result is a rich, simple cookie.

Ingredients
  

  • 150 g Butter
  • 160 g Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 140 g Flour
  • 50 g Cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions
 

  • Beat the butter and sugar together until combined.
  • Add the egg and mix well.
  • Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt into the bowl.
  • Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  • Shape the dough into balls and flatten them slightly on your baking sheet.
  • Bake at 175°C for 10 minutes.

Notes

I made these when I ran out of chocolate chips, and the pure cocoa flavor made these cookies taste rich and mature.
