Classic Lucky Charms Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients
  

For the Treats

  • 60 g Butter
  • 300 g Mini marshmallows Plus 30 g to fold in, optional
  • 3 ml Vanilla extract
  • 120 g Rice Krispies
  • 120 g Lucky Charms cereal Use more marshmallows from the box if you like

Instructions
 

  • Line a 20x20 cm pan with parchment paper. Lightly butter the paper.
  • Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat.
  • Add 300 g of marshmallows and stir constantly until they are fully melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract, then turn off the heat.
  • Quickly fold in the Rice Krispies and Lucky Charms cereal until everything is evenly coated.
  • If you want gooey pockets, fold in the extra 30 g of mini marshmallows now.
  • Press the mixture into the prepared pan using a buttered spatula. Press gently; do not over-pack the mixture.
  • Let the treats cool for 30 to 45 minutes, then slice them into squares.
