For the Matcha Cream
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 8 oz mascarpone
- 1.5 tsp matcha powder
For Assembly
- 1 cup cherries Fresh or thawed
- 1 package Ladyfingers Approximate amount
- 1 cup milk For dipping
Whip the heavy cream with the sugar until soft peaks form.
Gently fold the mascarpone and matcha powder into the whipped cream mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
Pour the milk into a shallow dish. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the milk. Avoid soaking them too long.
Begin layering the dessert in a serving dish. Place a layer of dipped ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the matcha cream, and then scatter some cherries.
Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of matcha cream.
Cover the dish and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before you slice and serve.
You can use sour cherries or sweet cherries, depending on your preference for tartness. If you use frozen cherries, make sure they are fully thawed before layering.
