Cherry Cardamom Sweet Rolls

Cardamom added a subtle warmth that complemented cherries without overpowering them. These sweet rolls are for bakers who enjoy layered flavors and warm spices.

Ingredients
  

Sweet Yeast Dough

  • 3/4 cup Cherry filling
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground cardamom
  • 2 tbsp Butter, melted

Instructions
 

  • Roll the sweet yeast dough into a rectangle.
  • Brush the dough surface with the melted butter.
  • Mix the sugar and cardamom together. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the dough.
  • Spread the cherry filling evenly over the sugared dough.
  • Roll the dough tightly, slice it into rolls, and place the slices in a baking dish.
  • Bake the rolls for 25 to 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
  • Serve the sweet rolls warm.

Notes

This recipe uses pre-made sweet yeast dough for simplicity. If you make your own dough, allow time for rising before starting the filling steps.
