Caprese Bites with Prosciutto

Prosciutto adds a savory note that makes these bites feel extra special for gatherings. These bites are simple to assemble and present an elegant appetizer option.

Ingredients
  

For the Bites

  • 1 pint Cherry tomatoes Halved
  • 12 Fresh mozzarella balls Small, pearl size
  • 12 Fresh basil leaves Small
  • 2 slices Prosciutto Cut into small ribbons

For Finishing

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp Salt To taste
  • 1/8 tsp Black pepper To taste

Instructions
 

  • Slice the cherry tomatoes in half. You should have about 24 halves.
  • Place one piece of fresh mozzarella on top of each tomato half.
  • Add one small basil leaf on top of the mozzarella.
  • Wrap a small ribbon of prosciutto around the mozzarella and tomato stack, securing the basil in place if possible.
  • Drizzle the assembled bites lightly with olive oil.
  • Season gently with salt and black pepper. Serve these fresh.

Notes

These appetizers are best served immediately after assembly to maintain the freshness of the ingredients.
